The airborne display module plays an important role in providing pilots with various flight signals and operational instructions composed of characters, graphics and images. Airborne display modules are developing in the direction of full color, high definition, high resolution, wide color gamut and low power consumption. This promotes the upgrading of the display medium of the on-board display module. At present, LCD is in the mainstream position in the airborne display, has gradually eliminated the early CRT. But liquid crystal also has its shortcomings, such as: long response time, low temperature performance, high power consumption. With the development of OLED technology, its performance advantages are becoming more and more obvious, and it has a certain technical foundation for airborne display.

In this paper, the circuit design of the airborne display module is carried out by using the 7.7 inch color OLED display screen produced by SUMSUNG company as the display medium. The resolution of this screen is 1,280 × 800, and the color depth is RGB 8 bits each. MIPI-DSI(4lane) is used for video data transmission and register value transmission inside the screen.
Due to the requirements for display medium and display resolution, the 7.7-inch color OLED of SUMSUNG Company was finally selected as the display medium after screening, and through specific reinforcement treatment, it can meet the requirements of the airborne environment. Since OLED is a current-type self-luminous device, only pixels that need to be displayed will have current passing through and emit light. For areas that do not display, pixels do not have current passing through and do not emit light. Therefore, in a black environment, the contrast ratio of OLED can reach 100 000:1, and the contrast ratio of 1,000: 1 required by the tender is within the range of satisfaction. The brightness of this OLED was tested in the verification stage, and its maximum brightness can reach 650 cd/m2, which meets the requirements of brightness adjustment. For the video interface, communication mode, power requirements, through analysis and verification can be achieved.
